Hinton Football Club Under 17 s Match Reports

Hinton U17 0-8 Wellington U17

The scoreline defines the difference in a team that has played many years together and a year older verse a team that was starting only it's second fixture, many players have not played together before, and mostly a year younger. This is work in progress for the u17s coaches and the players, with more positives than negatives to work with.

Bartestree Colts U17 2-1 Hinton U17

A game of end to end stuff! With several players making their Hinton debuts it was a strong side selected to face Bartestree Colts U17s. Goalkeeper Harvey Robinson making several fantastic saves throughout the game keeping the hopes of the Hinton faithful alive. On 24 minutes Midfield maestro Cody Walker played in pacey winger Callum Worthington in to slot his half volley in to the top left of the Bartestree goal leaving their keeper in no mans land.  On the stroke of half time the stand in Referee pointed to the spot for a Bartestree penalty which was cooly slotted to the keepers left. The second half saw the Bartestree attack push for the killer third goal which down to the Hinton goalkeeper and defence never came.  We go again next week against Westfields at Broomy Hill.
