2012-13 summary

A tough season from the under 13s, who have battled through the season, dealing with injuries, poor weather, and lots of games away from Broomy hill.  However Wayne Childs has kept the lads together and will hope to start with greater success with this group of players away from Hinton next season.

Their departure will be missed, but we wish them well in their new adventure, and hope one we will see them again playing Hinton colours at Broomy hill

Pegasus 9 v 0 Hinton

Its difficult to tell a team well done when they lose 9-0 but they stood up against a very physical strong team today and in most parts did very well, some big performances from Eth,  JJ, Fin, Aid and man of match Josh Sutton also James did well in goal, but the back line needs unity but it will come.

We also saw some good stuff from Andrew in defence, Richie had a great first half, but poor behavior on sideline kept him off in second, credit to Pegasus who will win league hands down. very good hungry side

On Saturday 18th Aug 2012 Hinton colts attended a charity tournament in aid of Birmingham childrens hospital through kind invitation from Leominster u12.

A great day was had by all and over £1200 was raised .

Games were played on a league basis and Hinton beat Leominster 2-0, Ludlow 2-0 and Bromyard 1-0 in group stage to reach the final. Here they met Leominster again, after taking an early lead Hinton conceeded twice to go 2-1 down before equalising from the spot after Ethan Turner was brought down inside the box .

With little more than 5 minutes left after some fine play Ethan rounded the Leominster keeper to slot home and complete his hatrick and score the decisive winner,Hinton soaked up lots of pressure for the last few minutes to run out winners and also complete a tradition of winning a tournament every year since forming at under 8 level .

Well done boys all worked very hard in the hot yet wet weather, (the matches were 30 mins long) and a special mention for Ethan Turner who sored every colts goal!! 8 in total to be player of the tournament, narrowly pipping the keeper Andrew Davis who made some fantastic saves throughout.
