Hinton under 16's

A position at 4th was achieved by the under 16's in the league who also had secured a cup final appearance this season, in which not all the performances reflected the ability within the squad.  This season was Ben Toye's final season with these players as Ben has moved with his career and now leaves the squad his has coached fro several years to the stewardship of Shaun Fitzpatrick and Steve Saunders in the under 17s league

 Onny 1 - 13 Hinton

Hinton u16's continue their impressive recent form with a convincing win over a Onny side who will be among the top 6 come the end of the season.

After some good results in the early parts of the season for Onny, Hinton were expecting a tough game and started the game as though they knew that this game wasn't going to be easy. 3 goals in the opening 10 minutes settled any nerves and by half time Hinton were 7-1 up with game well out of Onny's reach,

Despite this the home side continued battling and did cause Hinton some trouble with a couple of quick strikers on the counter attack.

In the end though Hinton's purposeful passing and deadly finishing was too much for Onny, as Hinton ran out 13-1 winners in the end and could make the long trip back home fully satisfied with their performance.

Scorers were Josh Hudson (5), Adam Preece (4), Kian Bell (2), Louis Silburn (1), and Matty Callwood (1).

Hinton 8 v 0 Bromyard

Hinton put in their best performance of the season against a resilient and young Bromyard side, to run out 8-0 winners.

Despite having several players missing for this game, every player put in a performance to be proud of, with some of the football played at times was unstoppable.

After a less than expect poor start to the season, hopefully the team can take this forward to the rest of the season?

Ledbury 1 v 5 Hinton

The U16's had an away to remember this weekend when they traveled to Ledbury

Hinton arrived to discover there was no pitch allocated to play on, and a cricket pitch was offered?  Ledbury at 2.05pm were a little short numbered and Hinton assisted in putting the goal nets into position to play the game.  Once the game stated the atmosphere didn't improve with the cigarette smoking linesman enjoying the ability to wave the flag, a serious foul was left unpunished, and all this on the smallest 11 a side pitch, and longest grass seen for several years!

The game ended with a Hinton victory, and the five goal advantage insured that the victory was never in doubt even when the Ledbury keeper came up to attack a rare Ledbury corner and found himself adding to the scoreline!

The lads progress into the next round.

Hinton 1 - 1 Leominster

The opening game of the season, saw a fixture of two of potential title contenders   Hinton appeared to have the upper hand of the tie that saw the home side miss a penalty, hit the woodwork four times and have the majority of the ball possession.  The visitor were not allowed to progress often into attacking positions as Hinton held firm,  and restricted the leominster team to a single shot which unfortunately was successful in finding the a route into the goal net.
